What? Lae Titia is eco conscious clothing brand making plus size babydoll dresses and other enthralling items. Each garment is crafted by hand and made from reused, repurposed and recycled materials. Only thread is bought new, keeping our seams secure. How? Since three years old I’ve been sewing. Drawing out patterns from scratch, spending 24 hours stitching, making my parents buy fabric, and now impulsively buying my own. Starting with poor seams into fully formed dresses. A clothing repair business into a fully fleshed out clothing line. Why? I’ve always found fast fashion a delirious part of the world. Where we take advantage of hard labor that is not safe nor compensated fairly and then wish away the thought. I am building Lae Titia to help our plus size community have one of a kind pieces without sacrificing their imprint on the world. And there are not enough options for plus size women period. We live in a market where the average upscale brands host only select sizes, catering to only a select group of smaller people. I wanted to create a clothing brand that not only fights our climate crisis but makes a social influence, leaving people with the opportunity to buy one of a kind pieces for their size.
